Something to Think About
“Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.”
Marian Wright Edelman (born 1939);
Activist, president and founder of Children's Defense Fund
This quote applies to all people. In our own ways we can decide upon and champion a cause for the fulfillment of our souls and the lives that we would touch in said endeavor. Think about what inspires you. My passion is educating teens and their families about Teen Dating Violence and how dangerous it is. If you want to champion literacy, The March of Dimes, cancer research, the homeless, sexual assault advocacy, or the safety of children from child abuse, or any other, then serve that cause. There are countless people that will benefit from your passion. One small effort on your part creates a ripple and that ripple becomes a wave that will make a huge impact. So go ahead, serve, champion, and work for a worthy cause. Change starts with you.
